Hi! Is the phrase "takes for granted" comparative to "assumes"? I read this as: Smith takes for granted/ assumes that doctors always act in accordance to their expertise/ knowledge. Am I correct in making this parallel? Thanks in advance!

@caydencemarley, happy to help! Yes, I would say the phrase "takes for granted" and the word "assumes" can be treated as synonyms. Nice job! Does that make sense? Please let us know if you have any other questions.
