Sufficient Q vs a necessary Q?

Hi, I would pay attention to what the question is asking us to do. Necessary assumption questions ask us what the author must believe, agree with, or has necessarily assumed. These questions will ask us, more or less, which of the answer choices must be true if the argument is to hold. Sufficient assumption questions ask us which answer choice would make the argument correct. That is, they ask us what would fix, justify, or allow the argument to be proper. While the exact language will vary, that's what the two questions are asking. Here the question asks which answer would allow us to properly conclude the authors conclusion, that is, which thing would make the argument valid.
