Eliminated A

I eliminated A because it brought in ideas/topics that seemed irrelevant to the stimulus because typically those answer choices that bring in outside ideas not in the stimulus are wrong. How can I know when outside ideas/topics are correct answer choices and when they are not? I ruled out all the answer choices on this one and did not end up picking A because I thought we needed to rule it out for this reason.
