Problem with "E" description

I understand why I got this answer wrong. However, your explanation for why E is incorrect, I don't know if I agree with. You state that it's not about the number of people that have walked, E doesn't talk about that, it talks about the walking distance, it even states what people would consider walking distance is walking distance where does it talk about the quantity of people? Is it because it states the word "people" and that is more than one?

    I still do not see what the description is talking about when it says "not the number of people." Where in the wording am I missing where it can be interpreted as "number of people?"
