The explanation does not answer the question. If Guadeloupe will be the destination in the week preceding ANY voyage it makes to Jamaica, should A be true?

Hey there, Great question. You're thinking (A) should be true, but it doesn't have to be true. It sounds like you're misunderstanding what the rule talking about Guadalupe and Jamaica is saying. The rule says Guadeloupe will be its destination in the week preceding any voyage it makes to Jamaica. What this means is that any time we see Jamaica, Guadalupe goes right before it, making a GJ block. J - >GJ The rule DOES NOT mean that if we see G, then J goes right after. This is what it sounds like you misinterpreted the rule to mean. With this misinterpretation, then yes, (A) would be the answer. However, this is not what the rule is saying. If J is 5th, then G is 4th, and since G is also 1st, M has to go 6th, because otherwise, we wouldn't be able to place the M-G-M chain on the board. This reveals answer choice (E) as our must be true.
