Why not (c)?

Could you please explain why answer choice C is not correct? To me, it sounds like it provides a parallel situation where there is no cross stepping; an example of what it would really look like if the footprints were human, and therefore, we can conclude that the footprints at site G are not human.

You are assuming that answer choice (C) says that these prints at site M are from a human. But it only states that they are shaped like a human's, as are the ones in site G. Therefore, it does not create an example of what human prints would look like since these human-like prints at site M could just be some animals with similar feet to a human. Therefore, having human-like non-cross-stepping prints at a site we are not discussing makes no difference to our argument. Hope that clears things up! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
