Is E saying that just because the price of oil is reduced by half that doesn't have to mean that the gas price also decreases by half being that the price of gas is also connected to the various other costs that were listed in answer choice E?

    @Samir, Exactly. Price of gas is not directly proportional to the price of oil because there are other costs that are incorporated into the retail cost of gasoline.
