Can someone please explain why C is wrong? I now understand why D is correct but I would like a clear understanding of why C is incorrect. Thank you.

(C) is incorrect because it is not supported by the information in the passage. The stimulus provides the following logical chain:
magnanimous behavior-> beneficial chemicals produced by the brain -> white blood cells produced by the spleen
Magnanimous behavior here is the cause, not the effect. The behavior causes the brain to produce beneficial chemicals, but we cannot conclude that the opposite relationship is true as (C) suggests.
