Presumptions

In continuation of my inquiry above are we saying that: "benefits one's immune system" = beneficial to one's self-interest?

Hi Shirnel, thanks for the question. You're right that this does require an assumption. That strong immunity is in someone's interest. While the common wisdom is to never insert your own assumptions or thoughts into a must be true question, sometimes we need to be flexible with this idea when the assumption or thought is so obviously true just by common sense or by fact. Things that are obviously true and can be used to evaluate arguments. Time moves forward. Canada is a country. These are just so obviously true that it would not be wrong to assume them even on LSAT question that requires you to only use the argument. Here, a strong immunity is obviously in a person's self interest because it defends that very person. It is a safe assumption that something that is good for you is in your interest.
