Diction in A

How would we discern between the correctness of A and E? (A) states that there is a correlation between the the decrease in slope related injuries and improvements in ski gear. It also states that "as a result ..." the non-slope related incidents have increased. Can we infer from "as a result" may make (A) seem like a possible answer?

    They would never explain it. They only answers the questions they want to answer. The messages were sent on Jan 12 is Sept and no answer? You guys are very unprofessional
