Can you please give me a more detailed answer why answer choice C is incorrect? Thank you!

    Because 1,000 to 2,000 flied are NOT in Hawaii. Only 500 are in Hawaii, and of the ones in Hawaii are descendants of one or two females. The files in Hawaii do not represent the flies of the world, even though they may have diverse flies.
