Option C is a reversal of the logic of the first chain?

Hello, For this question, I was torn between options E and C. I ultimately chose E since it clearly followed the contrapositive chain. However, when I was reviewing why the others were wrong, it says option C is incorrect because it reverses the logic of the first chain (which is Slower tech adoption --> Cannot compete on price). But if the reverse of the first chain is Can compete on price--> not Slower tech adoption Isn't Option C the contrapositive? I would appreciate any kind of help. Thank you
