All That is Required Clarification - Option E?

Hi folks, Can I get some help on this. I have two questions. 1) Is the phrase "All that is required" the same as "The Only" or is this to be viewed as the single necessary condition for the sufficient statement? I interpreted option E to mean the only necessary condition to create economic justice (AEI) is national redistribution of wealth (NRW). Diagrammed as follows: AEI -> NRW. NRW being the only condition to the right of AEI. 2) Based on the passage what is the relationship between intolerable economic inequalities (IEI) and alleviating economic injustice? When diagramming the logic chain, I initially ended up with: P1: AEI -> NRW Not NRW -> AEI P2: Not AEI -> IEI Not IEI -> AEI P3: IEI -> SIRV Not SIRV -> Not IEI Transitive: Not NRW -> Not AEI -> IEI -> SIRV Not SIRV ->Not IEI -> AEI -> NRW From the transitive, does it not follow that NRW is the ultimate necessary condition for AEI? We can thus conclude that for economic justice to exist, national redistribution of wealth must exist. I have read both @Mehran's responses and @Shune's but do not see how we can conclude that option B is the right answer. NRW is the necessary condition and we're not able to conclude the necessary condition from the sufficient conditions that precede it. Please help me understand where I went sideways. @AnthonyH, Let's take a look. Diagramming (E), we have redistribute wealth-->create conditions of economic justice The problem with (E) is that although we know that redistribution of wealth is one thing that's necessary, we don't have any idea if there are other things that are also necessary. While not redistributing wealth necessarily leads to conditions of economic injustice, there's no guarantee that redistributing wealth is sufficient to create justice. Since wealth redistribution is a necessary, but not sufficient, condition for justice, (E) is a mistaken reversal of the conditional chain. Thus, (E) is out. In diagramming the stimulus, we have nation doesn't redistribute wealth-->unable to alleviate economic injustice and current system will lead to intolerable economic inequities intolerable inequities-->violence to coerce social reform our nation's responsibility to alleviate conditions that would give rise to violent attempts at social reform These statements can be joined in the transitive. The resulting principle is that if we do not redistribute wealth, then we will have violence. The contrapositive of this is that if we do not have violence, then we must redistribute wealth. The politician ends her argument by telling us that we have to do whatever is necessary to stop violence. The contrapositive we identified above tells us that redistributing wealth is necessary, as it's the necessary condition. Therefore, the politician believes that we must redistribute wealth. (B) says, "It is our nation's responsibility to redistribute wealth." (B) is the logical implication of the politician's argument, so it must be true. Hope this helps. Thanks, @Ravi. I now see how the politician's argument leads us to answer B - redistributing wealth through the contrapositive. What I'm not understanding is how you used the transitive to connect "alleviating economic justice" to "violence to coerce social reform". Did we simply equate alleviating economic injustice to be the same as intolerable inequities? Finally, is it safe to say that alleviating economic injustice is sufficient for creating national redistribution of wealth? And is this the same as stating that the national redistribution of wealth is necessary for creating economic justice? i.e. AIE -> NRW Thanks again!
