@Wyatt What the prompt is getting at is that if wealth is political power, then unequal wealth is unequal political power, and since democracy requires equal political power, wealth inequality is bad for democracy. Is that what you're referencing?

Hi all, so I was under the impression that the word "essential" introduces necessary condition. Is that correct? If so, can you explain why, under answer choice (E) he flipped Regular Exercise and made it sufficient condition instead of necessary? Thank you

@Maria-fonceca you are correct in associating the word "essential" with a necessary condition, but it is not correct to say essential INTRODUCES a necessary condition. In this case, it might be helpful to replace the phrase "essential to" with "required for." The sentence then reads, "adequate leisure time is REQUIRED FOR regular exercise." In other words, if one exercises regularly, he/she must have adequate leisure time. To diagram: RE ==> ALT Not ALT ==> not RE You can see that RE is therefore the sufficient condition. I do not understand how "threatens the viability of true democracy" is the same as "not true democracy" because it seems to me that in the past exercises they have been telling us to take everything literally without making jumps in logic and equating ""threatens the viability of true democracy" to "not true democracy" seems to be a jump in logic to me. Would appreciate to have it clarified.
