Question #11 in S&N Homework - last sentence

Hi, The last sentence says: It is clear that with EITHER a shortage of nurses OR lowered entrance standards for the profession, the current high quality of health care cannot be maintained. I diagramed this as: neg SN or decreased ES-> negate CQHCM In the video explanation Naz did not negate SN- why not? I thought the either or rule says neg X? Thanks for your help in advance!

    @sharpen7 it seems that you are confusing the following two statements: (1) Either A or B (2) Either A or B is sufficient for C The sentence you are referring to here is (2), not (1). Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    @alymathieu let's diagram them. (1) Either A or B not A ==> B not B ==> A (2) Either A or B is sufficient for C A or B ==> C not C ==> not A & not B Can you see the difference now?
